The new Audi RS 7 is now available, and technology makes it the most desirable vehicle. Key upgrades include enhanced comfort, fuel economy, and a high-performance drive. The multiple driving modes will accommodate all occupants, whether you're on a long road trip or going through the city traffic. The government safety rating for occupant protection has been upgraded to five stars, and the new braking system is integrated with other technologies to ensure optimized performance.
What's new for the 2022 Audi RS 7?
After spending a week with one of the first 2022 Audi RS 7 models to arrive in the United States, it's clear that not much has changed since the 2021 model. The power and torque numbers are identical, and only minor styling revisions - a new grille design, tweaked front and rear bumpers, and gloss-black exterior trim replacing matte silver - distinguish the 2022 model from its predecessor.
Trims & Features
Audi offers one trim level for the 2022 RS 7. This trim comes with a 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 600 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard Quattro all-wheel drive system.
The standard 2022 Audi RS 7 comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, power door mirrors, a power rear hatch, hands-free trunk lid release, auto-dimming door mirrors, power sunroof, heated side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and ignition, remote start, leather seating surfaces and upholstery throughout the cabin, 10-way power front seats with four-way lumbar support and driver memory settings.

Horsepower
The 2022 RS 7 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, making 591 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. This is a different engine than the one in the current S8, and it's paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Unlike other Audis with an RS badge, the RS 7 uses a conventional torque automatic instead of a dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
Audi says that the new RS 7 can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph. With the Dynamic optional package, this increases to 174 mph. The Dynamic package includes sports suspension and dynamic steering for better handling, along with launch control for maximum acceleration off the line. The range-topping Dynamic Plus package further increases top speed to 190 mph.
Safety
The 2022 Audi RS 7 is not yet rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Standard safety features include:
- Â Â
- Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking
- Blind-spot monitoring
- Rear cross-traffic alert
- Audi Adaptive Cruise Assist with lane-keeping assistance
The 2022 Audi RS 7 comes standard with a six-year/70,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a four-year/50,000-mile powertrain warranty.
