If you drive an Audi and regularly have passengers who love gaming, you'll be excited to learn that the Swiss company N-Dream has launched its AirConsole platform in certain Audi vehicles.
The AirConsole is an interactive platform that allows all passengers, including those in the front seat, to use their smartphones and the in-car infotainment system to access and play games even when the vehicle is moving. Gaming for front-seat passengers was previously only an option when a vehicle was parked, but now all passengers can be entertained throughout a long car ride.
The AirConsole is available through the Audi Application Store and can be downloaded via the vehicle's infotainment system. Once installed, users can scan an onscreen QR code with their smartphones to connect to the system and use their phones as game controllers.
The AirConsole app is available in the Audi A5, Q5, A6, the A6 e-tron, and the Q6 e-tron model series equipped with Android infotainment systems. Audi and AirConsole have also partnered with Mattel to introduce a game called "Pictionary Car Party" that allows up to four players to connect with their smartphones and play simultaneously. Users can also play many other trivia, sports, racing, and party games such as "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" and "Overcooked."
