Birthday decorations for kids

Wish I May Overview

Birthdays are an important milestone in life, but birthday memories mean just a little more for a child. Those first few formative birthdays help to solidify how children see the world. Is it joyous? Hopeful? Beautiful? They say that little things mean a lot, but birthdays are significant things for children. They're some of their most formative memories. Wish I May is a non-profit organization that strives to give underprivileged children the type of birthday they deserve. When parents aren't able to provide a memorable birthday for their children, Wish I May can make dreams come to life in the form of a birthday those kids will never forget.

What Wish I May Does for Kids

At times, some children are deprived of the very things that so many of us take for granted. The truth is that Happy Birthdays aren't always free, and many parents are struggling just to put food on the table. They don't have the money left over to give their children the joyous birthday they deserve. That's where Wish I May steps in. The non-profit operates in the Greene County area and offers underprivileged children a Happy Birthday they'll never forget.

This organization works with local community agencies to identify children who aren't going to be having birthday presents or even a birthday. Sometimes the parents are out of work at the moment. Other times, the parents work hard but don't have enough left over to give those children the kind of birthday they deserve. When this happens, volunteers create a "birthday bag" crafted with the child's individual wishes and likes in mind. That bag is distributed to the parents, who can then give their children a happy birthday.

The Board of Directors at Wish I May create these experiences that give every Wish I May child the opportunity to enjoy a birthday they'll never forget. And they let the parents be the ones to give it to their children.
